Brandon Morenz is a Financial Advisor and Director of Investment Strategies for John Stokes Financial. Brandon grew up in Orange County in a household of medical doctors and healthcare professionals. He was encouraged to follow the same path, but instead decided to study Economics at the University of California, Irvine. Brandon joined the firm in the summer of 2007, right as the bull market was ending and the great recession was getting started. He felt this stressful time for the markets was instrumental in helping him appreciate the importance in helping clients understand risk and having the right long-term strategy.
As Director of Investment Strategies, he oversees the Investment Committee, which focuses on investment research and management of allocation models. Brandon enjoys educating others and has been featured as a guest speaker at several investment conferences across the nation. His proudest moment as a financial advisor was when his niece asked him for assistance in her high school economics class’s stock picking competition. With her uncle’s help, she ended up taking first place!
Brandon holds the Series 7, 66 and 63 securities registrations. He is also a Life, Disability, Health, and Annuity Agent with the California Department of Insurance (license #0G67421). In 2014, Brandon achieved the designation of an Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) through the College of Financial Planning.
He and his wife are foodies. They enjoy traveling around California and throughout the world. In his free time, Brandon can be found with his wife, Mimi, playing in various adult basketball leagues, or exploring the city of San Francisco where he currently makes his home. He especially enjoys watching the Lakers.
